Objective

First launching Somersby cider in May 2014 growing tastings to Nation-wide  scale in 2015. With many ciders on the market making Somersby stands out from the crowd was a challenge that Engage was happy to accept. 

Execution

Engage NZ had staff based in New Worlds, Countdowns and Pak N Save as tasters and tackled over 375 shifts this year steaming nation-wide. Shifts are all done with Safe in store passes and go for 3 hour bursts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday’s. Each staff member diligently reports on sales and samples per shift resulting in great snap shots of data for Somersby cider.

Overall handing out 23,598 samples and selling 1655 boxes of Somersby cider. We found direct correlation between the amounts of people tasting the product to boxes sold. Throughout the campaign we had store’s selling out of stock and staff overall increasing sales during shift times.
