Objective
To promote the new Peugeot 3008 and raise awareness of the car with UK car buyers.
Execution
Under the strapline “So much technology you’d think it could fly” Ambient Media placed life-size replicas of the car onto the rooftops of prominent buildings accross the UK, giving the impression that the vehicle had just “landed” on them. Locations included Bullring Birmingham; Central Library Manchester; Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow and Brunel’s Old Station, Bristol. To tie in with this activity a competition to win a space flight was run.
In addition, a wrapped bus with a full sized model of the car on top of it travelled the street. A Peugeot stand showed off the car and staff accompanying the bus and the stand encouraged consumers to enter the space flight price draw and test drive the car there and then.
Outcome
This was a very popular campaign. The Shopping Centre and Experiential Bus Road Shows generated 192,000 impacts and a total of 19,200 people interacted with stand by either sitting in one of the 3008 or talking to the staff). A whopping 175 ‘there and then’ test drives were completed during the campaign.
