Objective

Tabasco was looking to run an innovative sampling campaign with the aim to own the association between Pizza and Hot Sauce.

Execution

In a bid to create a unique association between Tabasco Sauce and Pizza, we distributed 700,000 Pizzaboxes into Pizzerias across Australia and New Zealand. With each of the branded Tabasco Pizzaboxes we included a free sachet of Tabasco Sauce for consumers to sample there and then. 

Outcome

The campaign has been very popular with consumers. Many have asked about the Facebook page and said they would add it and there has been a great response to the coupons. The majority of customers have asked for the sauce on return visits and most people ask if the Tabasco sauce is still being included in the box when ordering. The sachets were proving so popular that people frequently asked if they could have more than one sachet of Tabasco sauce per order and explicitly returned because of the sachets included. Some consumers even asked if they can buy a bottle of it instantly at the Pizzeria. Overall a very successful campaign.
